Greece: regulatory and call pricing changes

Because of changes to the tax-system in Greece the local regulatory authority EETT (Hellenic Communications and Post Commission) is instructing all content providers who use premium rate or shared cost numbers in Greece to change the way they promote their services.

Additionally, due to an existing telecommunication tax, caller rates for calls originating from a landline connection will be increased by 5 %. This should also be included in the announcement to the callers informing them about the call rate. Calls originating from local mobile networks are not affected by this price change.

These new rates as well as the new way of presenting the numbers are in effect as of 01.10.2017. For more detailed information on how content providers are now to promote their service numbers please contact us directly. We would be more than happy to assist you.
